We bought a washed coffee from this same mill a couple years ago that literally tasted like sweet tarts. We liked it a lot. That coupled with the fact that it was a super high altitude crop piqued our interest in this coffee.

This coffee is surprising in that it is extremely juicy--as opposed to the winey quality that seems pervasive through most naturals. It’s really clean and not fermenty at all. For a crew that loves fruit bomb coffees, a clean natural is exciting. It’s flavor profile makes unlike anything that most people have ever tasted in coffee.

It’s a really small lot, with a total of only 35 bags produced. This coffee, like its washed cousin that we brought in before, is from the tiny Hagermaryam sub region of the Guji zone.

It’s super rare, has an unexpected taste, and we liked it. So we bought it. We think you’ll like it too.
