We are so stoked to bring this direct trade coffee to you all. We first tasted this coffee back in February and got our little brains exploded by the complexity, and cleanliness of it. It brings you some classic dark cherry flavors, some nice chocolate, but what really stood out to us was the intense melon that shines through. More of a green honeydew melon than anything else. This coffee is simply beautiful, and we couldn't be more pleased to share it with you all. Here is a bit more about the farmer, Angelo Sosa.

He believes that there is a lot what we can learn from coffee every day. It is what makes him motivated to work hard to improve coffee production but also to share his knowle-dge and experience with the neighbors and community. Because if all do it right, it will be beneficial for the whole region.

Angelo Sosa bought his farm Alto Cielo some 20 years ago for its beautiful nature that surrounds the farm. Being there is like standing on the balcony of nature and the only possible way to reach the farm is by foot or on mula. All this motivates Angelo Sosa and his family to protect the ecosystem of their land and work hard to improve coffee production.

Angelo Sosa is proud of the varietals he is cultivating on his farm but also knows that it is not all that makes the great cup. The hard work and dedication on every step is the key. The learning and applying the acquired knowledge in real practice is what makes him improve every day. Angelo Sosa studied the technology and marketing of agricultu-ral and attended other training to understand the qualities of the coffee, barista themes, cup tasting, etc. He is also in training with InConexus to create a laboratory in the drying plant in Garzón. It is a significant project for him, as the high humidity of his land impacting the drying process and by moving it to Garzon can secure more con-trol way of drying off his beautiful coffee. All to do without compromi-sing on quality and with care to improve the process towards exce-llence.
